    Neroccio de’Landi, Italian, (). Neroccio de’Landi was a Sienese painter and sculptor, also known as Neroccio or Neroccio di Bartolomeo Benedetto de’Landi or Neroccio di Bartolommeo de’Landi. Very little is known for certain of de’Landi. He was a pupil of Vecchietta and worked in partnership with Francesco di Giorgio until Neroccio de’ Landi, who was an accomplished sculptor as well as a painter, is best known for the elegance and grace of his renderings of the Virgin, saints, and angels, which made him one of the most admired and sought-after painters among late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century collectors of Italian Renaissance art.
